Some options for tiling WM
Hey, I've been using LMDE with i3 for some time now, it's my first experience with Linux. I downloaded LMDE 6 Faye with cinnamon and liked the looks of it but I wanted to try tiling for some time now, since I first saw it on a Arch video.
I'm not sure if it's just me, but I've been finding it very hard to get some things to work in i3, I still can't find something to keep the screen from going dark and locking while watching a video, for example. I'm not through the documentation yet seeing as I haven't had a lot of time to dive into it, but I just wanted to ask you guys if you had some tips, maybe another window manager I should try, or another distro that works better in coordination with i3 (only thing I've had bad experiences with in the past is Ubuntu, on my mom's old computer).
Some more info if you guys need: I use the computer a lot to watch videos and classes, do some text, sheets and forms editing for work, occasionally boot moonlight to play a game on my friends desktop and talking on discord. That's about all. Also, the machine is a Thinkpad t480, and I have tlp setup, so any other distro I just need it to have some sort of battery health optimization thing.
