Very high water bill (Thames Water)

It’s my first time living out of home so I’m not sure what to expect, but my first ever water bill is much higher than I expected and wanted to check if this was the norm.

We live in a 1 bed flat (2 people). We each shower every day, run about 4 loads of washing a week, and run the dishwasher maybe 5 times a week.

Our monthly payments are going from £47 to £84 per month, and we’ve used as much water as nearly 1000 showers within 167 days.
