Talking, communicating with snakes

I am trying to see if anyone has any idea about this. My grandfather, and grand grandfather had some kind of language to talk to snakes. People were paying them to get the snakes out of their garages, homes, places that are impossible to reach without special equipment. Does anyone have an idea what this can be? They passed that knowledge to each other for centuries but my grandfather died by accident without giving his secret to me. I saw him a few times doing it, they stood next to the building and started talking some weird language (whispering) and then next thing you would see snakes coming out. Sounds unbelievable and weird but i just want to get even a little guess what this can be
