Should I go try to go for a perm?

I’m really just looking at some new styles and so far I think a perms looking like my favorite option so far. I’ve had this side part haircut for years and have gotten tired of doing the same side part every day going through the same routine of washing and combing. Should I get a perm or is there another haircut that might look better on me?
