Inner-West suburbs absolute traffic nightmare for the next 6 weeks

For those unaware, from today until "late March" the citybound on-ramps from both Millers Rd and Grieve Parade, and the citybound exit ramp on Williamstown Rd, are all closed.

This morning, traffic in Spotswood, Williamstown, Newport, Altona North, and Yarraville were completely and utterly fucked as thousands and thousands of people tried to filter on to the West Gate via one solitary on-ramp on Williamstown Rd.

This is horrible planning from the developers/builders behind the West Gate tunnel/expansion project (which I am broadly supportive of!) to have so many on/off ramps closed at the same time. Anyone needing to do childcare/school drop offs in these communities in the next 6 weeks is just straight up screwed as their neighbourhoods are overtaken with insane amounts of traffic.

Just a rant, but boy this sucks.
