Opel Astra G 2001 Check Engine Light Issue
Hello everyone,
I've been dealing with a persistent check engine light issue on my 2001 Opel Astra G for over a year now. Here's what I’ve done so far:
Replaced the fuel filter
Changed the spark plugs
Cleaned the fuel injectors
Replaced the MAP sensor (used sensor, not new)
I initially decided to replace the MAP sensor due to high fuel consumption and a weak engine. I was advised that this would also resolve the check engine light issue.
After replacing the sensor, the check engine light disappeared for about a day, and the car seemed to perform slightly better. Unfortunately, the light came back, and the engine torque is still weak.
I’m wondering if I should invest in a brand-new MAP sensor or if there could be another underlying issue causing this problem.
Has anyone experienced something similar, or can anyone provide insights into what might be going wrong? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
