So I am getting mixed reviews on this mantle and how it works with the house.

Ignore the decor I’m just starting to get the room set up. So lots of people like the wood grain and how warm it is, however, other friends and family comment that it’s colour against the greige wall is not looking good so I’m wondering what you would do to help this sit better in this room? The floors are, greige on the more tan side both the hardwood and tile and the cabinets are what I would call brown with a gray finish over it. The wall are more a a blue grey tone I feel. I was thinking of mixing white with half water and then white washing the border so you can still see a bit of woodgrain through it and then painting the brick, though, I don’t know what to do there either a really light colour or go with a deep dark blue. I don’t know what would you do?
