Is anyone else AGAINST owning pinball machines at home?

I gotta say that find the images of these man-caves and home arcades with $50-$100k worth of pinball machines more disgusting than impressive. What you do with your money is your business, at least until you flex publically on Reddit. The attitude here that buying $50k worth of pinball tables is somehow normal is quite gross. "They multiply!" Is what people say...my family is middle class, I can't imagine a scenario where $10k toys would be allowed to multiply- not without deep debt and neglecting other needs and goals.

Really wish there was a separate sub for the dentists, attorneys, CEOs and whatnot to share their pinball machine dick pics, TBH.

I've been thinking a lot about how much I absolutely don't want a pinball machine in my house. The thought of spending $10k+ on a toy that produces nothing other than a fun distraction is repellent to me. I don't live in a mini mansion so I don't even know where I'd put one, let alone 3 or more of them. The truth is I like going out and playing pinball on location- I like being in an arcade setting, I like going out to do it, and I like spending $20 for a beer and multiple games and a couple of hours of fun at my favorite spot. I doubt I spend more than $500 a year on pinball and that's plenty of gaming for me. I don't feel like I'm missing out by not having a Godzilla in the 3rd den or awkwardly sitting int eh corner of the living room.

I love pinball and I've been playing for over 45 years. And I will likely never own one and that's absolutely OK with me.
