Rutgers or Stevens? Coming from an unsure engineering student
So I didn’t get into any of my reaches- just a few waitlist decisions here and there so nothing to rely on :(( - which leads me to settle on my top 2 choices from what I have left, Rutgers New Brunswick or Stevens Institute of Technology.
I got into Rutgers NB and the Honors College (if you guys can tell me about how the Honors College is, your experience and if it’s worth it or not, that would be great) so basically I have a full ride to Rutgers as long as I keep my grades good.
Then with Stevens, I got admitted with a couple of scholarships leading me to pay about 40k a year if I were to go.
So here’s my thing. I would love to pursue environmental engineering, but I’m not fully fully committed to that path as I had never done such a thing in my life yet. Thus, I understand that Stevens is better for engineering, but they aren’t as strong in other fields. Rutgers I have heard is decent all around, which makes me think if I were to decide engineering is not for me, I could be safe to switch majors. Which leads me to point 2 in that I feel that Rutgers is just a more well known school in general, which could help me if I were to pursue a job out of state. Is this the case?
I would love to get your inputs, this would be a big help. Thanks guys.
Edit: I really appreciate all the replies. I may or may not be saying RU RAH RAH very soon. :)
