Looking for a inexpensive place to park, save money & fixed my travel trailer
I'm from West North Carolina and I was gifted a travel trailer due to Helene. The travel trailer is better than what some people got but it has a major issue. I have been trying for the last 2 months to find someone who can fix it that I can afford and I have my name on 3 different waiting lists for assistance to fix it, and 1 of only 3 RV mobile mechanics permanently closed recently. Plus I need to buy a vehicle to pull the travel trailer and have been looking for a month.... Nothing but Savage titles, flood damage vehicles and $5000 vehicles that need an additional $2000 to $3,000 in mechanical pairs after buying it.
I'm looking for an RV park that will accept someone with bad credit but 100% clean background check, who has a dog and the monthly rent with utilities is no more than $700... And not too far from life necessities.
I can leave the state. I'm not tied down to North Carolina. But wherever I go I'm going to have to pay a tow company to deliver the trailer. The vehicle I have now is barely pulling itself.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Update/ information: The travel trailer problem
I talked to a mobile mechanic on the phone (because I didn't want to pay $120+ just for him to come look at it,) he said most likely the pipe between or connected to the water inlet where the hose hooks up froze and then cracked. Then when I hooked it up after the freeze, water slowly flood into my bathroom. I have no running water. I'm using bottled water for everything. The mechanic said it could cost $500 and $800 to fix. I have the money but that would come out of my car savings. And at the campground I'm currently at.,I can only stay here until March. I'm hoping I will find a vehicle before I have to leave.
