How to cut scene hair !?!?!!

I got a new BEAUTIFUL neon pink wig that I want to turn into a scene wig. I’ve never done scene hair before because my hair type isn’t compatible for it, but now’s my time to finally live the fantasy. Any suggestions/tips?
