Dinosaur party kids shirt

Pattern: Style Arc Rhys Kids Overshirt Fabric: Organic cotton poplin from Spotlight (New Zealand). This washed up nicely and was lovely to iron and sew.

This is a special shirt made with fabric my almost 5 year old chose for his dinosaur birthday party coming up. I loved how it turned out! This was made in a size 5 which has been true to size. Style Arc are light on instructions and pictures so I would say this is an intermediate level pattern. The seam allowance can vary between pattern pieces and is marked on the pattern itself (a change is not referenced as you go in the instructions). I finished the hem and sleeves with bias binding for the first time and I don’t think I could go back to a normal hem now! I used a mix of the pattern instructions and a tutorial on the Style Arc blog.
