why did they change the backend search bar

Hey guys, anyone else lose the ability to search orders on the backend?

On the Orders page, shopify made it so the search bar is not automatically on the screen, but now you have to click on the magnifying glass button in the top right just to pull up the search bar. Dumb.

But even after I get the search bar back, it's not actually searching any orders? It just shows the most recent orders? I am so frustrated
