Need Help Teaching My 4-Year-Old to Sleep on Her Own Before Baby #2 Arrives!
Hi everyone, I have a 4-year-old daughter who will only fall asleep if I lay next to her. Most nights, it takes forever for her to actually fall asleep, which has been exhausting.
I’m expecting baby #2 soon, and I know it’s time to help her learn to sleep on her own. The problem is, every time I leave the room, she gets out of bed, turns the lights on, and starts running around in her room. I’ve tried staying firm, but nothing seems to work.
I’d love any tips or suggestions for how to make this transition smoother! What worked for you in a similar situation? How can I help her feel comfortable falling asleep on her own without me right there?
Thanks in advance!
