Unpopular opinion: I think our jobs are pretty good

I’ve been an SLP for over 10 years. My pay has ranged vastly, from $40k to $120k. I love the work I do. I know there’s a lot of people unhappy with their jobs in this sub, but I think this career can actually be pretty good. The caveat is that it is HIGHLY dependent on your location. For example, California is a great place to be an SLP. In my area, there are tons of jobs and the pay is decent. Over the years, I’ve talked with friends in other industries who would LOVE to have the job security and benefits that we do. I’ve also made equal to more money than my friends in other industries (other health professions, design, business, and tech included). Is it perfect? Definitely not. But I remind myself that a job is a job, and often work will feel like work. I like my job, and I feel fortunate to be in a career that pays the bills, gives me ample time off, and allows me to help people.
