Episodes with Patrick in them drastically negatively affect our rating of the episode. Does anyone else feel the same?

So I've been watching SpongeBob since I was a kid and since I've grown up.

Now as an adult I often watch SpongeBob with my girlfriend and we both share a similar sentiment where we find Patrick quite annoying, whenever we watch an episode where Patrick is in most of it, our rating of the episode decreases drastically. We find Patrick to be so extremely stupid that it often blows our minds.

He always messes everything up, he ruins everything, he literally puts people through hell and torture, for example squidward. Whenever Patrick and squidward are in an episode together, especially in the newer episode, he basically just tortured squidward, he even tortures SpongeBob, example in that stuck in the wringer episode where he super glued SpongeBob in it.

Does anyone also feel the same way we do?

Edit: Patrick is fine in the earlier seasons but I really mean in the season after the 7th/8th seasons
