Found a sugar glider. What should I do?
I live on the 9th floor of a 44 storey condominium, and found my cat staring at a sugar glider on the ledge of my balcony.
Managed to scoop it in after it dropped another half-storey, but now I'm left with a sugar glider and no idea on how to keep it alive until I find its owner.
I'm sure it belongs to someone in the building and have setup several notices, however in the mean time I have it in a transparent box (about 1.5ft length by 1ft width by 0.5ft height), some old clothes for it to hide in, and a shallow tray of water. Fed it a blueberry to last the night.
I know next to nothing about these animals other than some slight research online, please give some advice on how to have it stay alive. I'm cautious about handling it due to potential bites/infections, but I read that they're social animals--- would it be worse not to handle them?
Planning to feed some sliced banana before heading to work tomorrow morning. No clue how the pooping situation is gonna be like, I don't have any mesh cages unfortunately.
