Replacing/fixing wall ethernet port

I just moved into a new place and found out my ethernet port isn't working.

It works when directly plugged into my laptop but I need to use the wall port for my desktop.

Upon opening the case I find this thing, with the wires in this current state.

Do I have to contact someone to fix the whole thing or is it possible to rewire/ replace the port by myself?
