To people who don't like furries, why?

I'm not a furry personally but as someone who has always been a big fan of cosplay, I've never understood why furries get so much hate. I mostly seen teenagers riding the hate train on furries and I'm curious as to why.

To me, it's cosplay. It's a costume. I may be wrong on this since like I said I'm not in the community, but I think most people just do it for fun. I'd really like to see people's RESPECTUL opinions and reasonings because all I ever see is "furry bad" without much else.
