Seeking advice about playing Tales on Interloper
I love Interloper. I’ve passed away so many times in the first few hours that after many deaths, I’ve finally got an understanding on how to get a Knife and Bow around 30-40 days.
It’s still a brutal game mode, and like most, I find it very difficult. I’d consider myself barely an intermediate at it. Sure, occasionally I wouldn’t mind disabling decay or cabin fever, or perhaps enabling a revolver or rifle to spawn. But I just stick to raw Loper.
The new updates are fantastic and I finally got Tales from the Far Territory. Getting to the regions on the lowest difficulty just to unlock them for spawning proved difficult for me. For example I ran into Glimmer Fog which was a new mechanic and I didn’t last long. I’m about to start a new Interloper aimed run to explore these maps but it got me thinking it may be too difficult.
Again, getting the knife and bow and all the basic items just to trek to those regions is a lot of time and work. One slip-up with all the new dangers that await me and I could lose it all without getting to finish the Tales. I don’t even mess with Timber Wolves on Interloper to put it in perspective. I’m more of a hunt deer and fish forever so I can finally not be starving. And you can forget Misery Mode.
So my question is this. For people that have played Tales, and for someone like myself who likes an achievable challenge, what difficulty should I play on to explore these regions?
Some possible options:
Full send it on Interloper to the new regions once I have a bow and knife - I should be ok?
Lower it to Stalker - I’ll see all the new content?
Gunloper or another custom game - I get the best of both worlds?
Perhaps you have an idea?
Please post spoiler-free suggestions. All I know is how to activate the first Tale at the Forsaken Airfield which I suppose is the first place I would go to? Thanks!
