Seeking clarity on finale

I know everyone has theories about whether or not Tony got wacked etc. but I'm still not clear how he was even at risk of getting wacked at that point?

I get that we see some shady characters enter the restaurant, but to me that's just Tony being paranoid. Otherwise, what loose threads were there that would put him at risk?

I get that he was facing an indictment and likely jail time, but he'd hardly be the first mob boss to serve time.

I just don't feel like it's at all implied that an assassin entered the restaurant when it cuts to black. I don't feel like Tony is in any danger based on how everything got resolved story-wise.
