Just diagnosed… need help

Just received my PTC diagnosis yesterday. Here’s what I know so far:

• my tumor is 1.52cm long (not sure the other dimensions, but less than 1.52)
• only on the L lobe
• ENT recommends full thyroidectomy, but says I can undergo partial lobectomy and monitor for the rest of my life
• he is almost certain I won’t have to do RAI therapy due to the size of the tumor. He also seems certain that it will not have spread.

In need of all advice, support, suggestions and what to expect.

Will I need further testing to rule out spread? I have so many questions…
