My baby turned 13 months old and suddenly became a daredevil. How do I parent her without constantly saying “no”?
Like the title says. Little girl wants to climb and stand on EVERYTHING. I’m constantly worried she’s going to fall and hurt herself. I also know if I’m constantly worried, it’s probably instilling fear in her and she’ll develop worry. We have climbing furniture (pikler triangle and climbing arch) and she doesn’t care about them at all.
How do I help this girl have safe ways to get out her climbing daredevil energy? Do I just stand nearby watching and keep my mouth shut, so I’m not saying “no” and “be careful” every 15 seconds? Trying to stop her from climbing results in a shrieking furious feral maniac.
Toddlerhood hit us fast and hard!
