What are the 10 games you think every gamer should play in his life?

I'm not talking about your 10 personal favorites, but if a player had a limited amount a time and could only play 10 games in their life (give or take, I won't blame you if you give a few more or less), what are the 10 games they should play to get a feel of what the videogame universe brought to the world as of 2024? I would imagine it would include a mix of genres

(For some background, I recently played a game that I felt every gamer should play in his life. I have my favorites, like everybody, but it's not often that I play a game and think "This is the essence of what gaming is" . So it made me wonder what other games I would put in that category. I shared that with some friends and got their take on it, but I felt it would be interesting to do that on a wider scale.

So here it is, I'm wondering what you all would answer to that question? (And of course, if you can give a bit more details about your picks, that would be more than welcome).
