Potential Incoming Student - MS in Accounting

Hi everyone,

I’m debating on applying to WGU’s MS in Accounting program. I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Accounting and will be finished this December. I had a couple of questions for anybody who has graduated from this program or who is currently in it.

  1. What would you say are the pros of getting an MSA at WGU? (i.e., lower cost, time saved, etc.)

  2. What would you say are the cons of this program, if any?

  3. Is there anyone here that became a CPA during or after they finished their MSA? Did you feel that WGU adequately prepared you for the exam?

  4. How much time did it take you to complete the program? Would you say this program was flexible to those of you who were working full time?

  5. Are there live instructors for these courses, or do they have an asynchronous format?
