Video games with good writing

Hi everyone,

I loved video games growing up, but once I got older and read a lot more, I realized how bad the majority of video game writing is. I wanted to ask you all, is there any video game where you found the writing to be excellent?

I'm asking because I honestly can't think of any with good writing, and I'm sure I must be wrong as I haven't played every video game. Would anyone be able to give recommendations on video games that have an excellent story or just an overall well-written plot?
