YouTube refusing to play videos

This has been happening for months now and getting progressively worse. Either YouTube videos or shorts, or bother, will just completely refuse to play, despite the site itself being usable through Safari, and my internet being just fine, and the app being completely updated. This is happening on multiple accounts, too. It used to be fine after resetting my phone or deleting/reinstalling, now that doesn’t even work. This is becoming a more and more frequent issue, I can’t even wait it out like I use to. What is going on?
